The two-in-one solution integrates multiple motor control functions into a single unit. The DW5 and DW7 also feature integrated solid-state relays, reducing the need for external components and wiring connection points while simplifying installation. The modular controller assembly solution uses a modular architecture, allowing OEMs to flexibly combine controllers to meet different installation space and power configuration requirements.
Motor controller selection for counterbalance electric forklifts and reach trucks mainly depends on the vehicle's voltage, motor type, traction and hydraulic pump current requirements, feedback methods, and installation space. DALA Motion offers a range of solutions, including the DW5 and DW7 two-in-one motor controllers, A2P and A4P modular controller assembly solutions, and the EPS-M2 electric power steering solution, covering different vehicle architectures and application requirements.
Yes. The M4S supports CAN communication and Bluetooth-based commissioning. The A2P/A2E and A4P/A4E support serial and CAN communication, as well as Bluetooth functionality. These features enable integration with vehicle instrument panels, main vehicle controllers, and diagnostic tools.
The 96V versions of the A4P/A4E are designed for AC induction motors (ACIMs) and are not suitable for directly driving 96V permanent magnet synchronous motors (PMSMs). If the vehicle is equipped with a PMSM, an alternative drive and control solution with the appropriate voltage rating and motor configuration should be selected.
Yes. The A2P/A2E and A4P/A4E are suitable for drive control applications in golf carts and sightseeing vehicles. The A2 Series supports 48V, 72V, and 80V platforms, while the A4 Series also offers 80V and selected 96V configurations. Model selection can be based on passenger capacity, gradeability, and motor power requirements.
An IP65 rating means that the controller enclosure is dust-tight and protected against water jets, making it suitable for typical outdoor operating environments for golf carts and sightseeing vehicles. The M4S, A2P/A2E, and A4P/A4E offer IP65-rated configurations. The overall vehicle design should also include proper waterproofing for connectors and wiring harnesses to ensure reliable operation.
When replacing a controller, the original vehicle performance targets can be maintained by recalibrating the motor parameters, acceleration and deceleration curves, braking logic, speed-limiting strategy, and gradeability. Proper parameter matching helps preserve smooth vehicle starting, driving, and braking performance.
